Linen
Museum
The history and artefacts exhibition can also be found
at the craft shop. This initiative is of interest to
everyone, from senior citizens who worked in the local
mills to school children studying the linen industry
as part of their history curriculum and visitors to
Belfast.
Artists:
Workshops and studios
A creative community of over 20 craft workers and artists
work in studios throughout the complex. The range of
mediums which can be found at the mill include painting,
wood craving, wood sculpture, metal work, ceramics,
jewellery, furniture making and mask making. All artists
accept commissions and many have pieces of work on public
display.
Space
Gallery
A newly upgraded gallery is available for exhibitions
by resident and external artists and community organisations.
Its situated on the third floor and offers wonderful
views of Belfast hills. The Space Gallery, has retained
the original mill floors and many of the original features
which adds charm to the art on display. Essentially,
it provides much needed space for the artistic community,
be that local, national or international, to display
their work.

Resource
Ceramics artists have access to shared kilns, wheels
and other equipment purchased by the committee. We hope,
in the future, to be able to facilitate other mediums
with shared resources so enabling others to establish
businesses in the creative sector.
